First Day

Work Monitor
My very first day in my new job as a Multimedia Developer and the first thing that blows my mind is my workstation.

I’m presented with this and this. Having a total workplace of 40 inches isn’t too bad for a Univeristy graduate.

Workload so far seems to be fairly full-on with deadlines already set so I’ve got loads of work to keep me busy. The best thing is I’ll eventually be moving into video production and that’s where the real excitement begins for me.

I also quit my old job and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan did that feel good. I compared the experience to Andy Defresne from The Shawshank Remdemption “crawling to freedom through five-hundred yards [or five years in my case] of shit smelling foulness you couldn’t even imagine”. I even planned to take a photo of myself, in the rain from above, parallelling that symbolic cinematic moment. It was a beautiful feeling.

I’m Baaaaaaaaack!

Bloc Party @ Hifi Bar
Hoovy back in da house yo!!!!!!! What have I been doing with myself? Scoring a new job is what!!! Something exciting and right up my alley. I start Monday and am pumped to get into the thick of it.

What else? Well I’ve been taking the occasional photo and going to a few excellent gigs.

Sorry for the delay on the new site but I really hope you all dig the new night-time styling. Drop a comment and say “hi”. You’ll feel better I promise.

  • Web standards. There’s a reason to do this and it makes perfect sense. You want as many people as possible to see your site and designing to the standards allows this to happen.
