You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat!
Went on a 6 hour fishing charter over the weekend in Hastings with some mates and caught some decent size snapper. I gotta say the most difficult thing to do on a 10 person boat is not trying to catch the fish. It’s trying to relieve yourself off the bow, when the wind is blowing in all sorts of crazy directions and the boat is rocking like crazy. It can be done but it’s highly stressful and I can’t recommend it to anyone.
I scored a nice big snapper (pictured in the bucket below) which went down well at the post-fishing BBQ. The one thing I regret though was forgetting to reapply my sunscreen because now my head resembles one big giant sore nipple. Trust me, the laughs I got at work this morning are still going around.
