Soccer Bullshit!

That was the biggest piece of sporting bullshit I have ever witnessed! Fuck that shit! Cruel? No fuck that! It’s beyond cruel. We had that match!
Too sad to write anything else at this stage.

Pretty disappointing finish to a wonderful campaign by the Aussies. I was devestated at that soft penalty. We had those guys on toast but just could not get that goal. I thought if the game went on to extra time, we’d eventually break them, but that ridiculous penalty ended it all for us.
I’m not really a sporting fan per se but with Australia making it into the World Cup after a 32 year absense and to go out like that, was truely devastating.
Now I know what it feels like for a rabid AFL supporter when their team narrowly loses the Grand Final. Unfortunately I just can’t get into AFL at all.
I know. I know! - so sad. But how much fun has it been watching these matches? I’m still excited about the lead up to the final. and it has been awesome working [where I work] for the last few weeks given the general pro soccer attitude. I’ve been regularly turning up at 10am for work and falling asleep at my desk, but so has everyone else.
also: hi james. hope you are well!
Now you know what being a Collingwood supporter like yours truly feels like! We’ve played in 40 Grand Finals and won only 14! Anyway, I’m not a soccer fan at all, but I really enjoyed watching Australia play. Gonna miss it! The vibe around town has been magnificent. Though, I can’t for the life of me understand how fellow Australians could be barracking for Italy as the scenes from Lygon St showed. I mean come on, you’re Aussies FFS!
Lyn: Well I am now after that hideous flu. I’m looking to get my work holidays during the Melbourne International Film Festival although I haven’t noticed Brick on the schedule.
JR: Yeah there’s lots of Italians who live around Lygon St and they support Italy but it’s all dependent on their situation. If you moved to Argentina tomorrow, would you support them in the World Cup or after living in Australia all these years, would you barrack for the green and gold?
Do they had out red cards for soccer referrees?
They should do! Should’ve seen the amount of hoax emails doing the rounds about the referee for the Italy Vs Australia match. Hilarious!
