The Fountain Remixed
This is a really cool idea that I hope happens more in the future. Composer Clint Mansell (he of Requiem For a Dream scoring fame. You know the theme that ended up as the music in the LOTR: The Two Towers trailer and every footy tv preview this year) has set up a website for aspiring filmmakers and film composer to remix his music from the new film The Fountain. Essentially, he provides all the assets and you go ahead and remix one of the tracks. These two are nicely done.
Film and music companies should take note too. Rather than trying to sue over remixing existing material, why not embrace it. The more people know about the film/music, the better surely.
