Xmas 2006 Wrap Up

Preparing Xmas Dinner
I know you all come here to read about my exceedingly exciting life so I’m not going to lie to you - this is going to be some fantastic, adventurous, stimulating reading. Sex, drugs and xmas scandals. It’s all here.

At The Movies

Still here? Great. So now that we are comfortable with the hooverdust notion of sarcasm, xmas this year ended the same way it always does in our household. Everybody stuffed to the brink of a belt buckle explosion, watched lots of TV comedy and played pointless but fun party games (including David and Margaret’s ‘At the Movies’ boardgame (which I didn’t win! Big wtf i know!)). Not such a bad thing really. Surprisingly, nobody drank that much and passed out like usual. Perhaps the disappearance of turkey this year and the Tryptophan levels meant the day could last that bit longer.

Tuned in to watch ‘The Panel’s Christmas Wrap Up’ later on, hoping to end the day with a good laugh. Unfortunately the absence of regular banter from the Working Dog crew has caught up with them and most of the entertainment fell flat. It was up to me to throw on some comedy gold of Christopher Walken’s appearances on Saturday Night Live to save boredom levels.

Boxing Day was a continuation of the eating with a seafood bonanza at my Uncle’s. Scallops, prawns and salmon were a welcome diversion from the heavy meats of xmas day. More games followed.

All up, it was another great xmas with the family. But I think I’ve eaten a months worth of food in two days so it’s back to the gym tomorrow.
