Australia Day Eve

A decent line-up at Bootleg on Australia Day Eve. Youth Group headlined with great support from Children Collide and young up and comers Operator Please.
Australian Open 2007

Although generally I don’t like watching sports, summer tennis is one of the few that I really get into. So I decided to hit the Australian Open this afternoon to see the Tommy Haas Vs David Nalbandian match. Haas proved the better player, winning in 4 sets. Nalbandian cracked a few dummy spits over the course of the match. I didn’t realise the cheaper ground passes got you into the Vodafone arena so it was a bonus seeing the match much cheaper than the other passes, especially after playing $4.10(!!!!) on 600ml of bottled water!
The Andy Murray Vs Rafel Nadal match should be worthy summer viewing tonight.
Moonlight Cinema

First we thought it was going to rain. Then it did. Then it stopped. Then it started getting humid again. Then the bats flew overhead and dropped poo on a couple of innocent audience members.
A great night regardless. The movie was probably my least favourite Christopher Guest collaboration but had some laugh out loud moments.
I forgot just how amazing the botanical gardens can be at night.
