Hooverspace v2

Hooverspace v2
Yeah I know most designers despise Myspace with a passion but the truth of it is Virb hasn’t taken off like I had hoped and Facebook is pretty damn plain looking. And I still get people communicating with me through Myspace more than any other social networking sites. Sure it’s still a clunky piece of crap in the end but it’s still soaring in the popularity stakes.

So I figured it was time for a change on my page. Bring some colour into the mix, take away the black scheme and give it a more positive vibe. Have I succeeded or not? Let me know. I’d be interested to see what people think.

i like it man. the colours are quite good for one that’s more vibrant (not really my style!). :)

dunno if it’s just my computer or not (linux!), but the text is really light.. i’ll double check when i get home onto my windows machine.

now if myspace could just think of a generally appealing layout without ads everywhere, it would be quite a nice page!

Cheers Lucky! Yeah I went for a different colour scheme this time around since I wanted to try a new style and branch out from my barrage of dark-themed sites.

Yeah the text is really light so I might change that a little. Thanks for the heads up!

Regarding Hooverspace: I think even the East Germany judge is giving a standing ovation and may have, perhaps, cracked a smile. Also: “…it’s still a clunky piece of crap”. How marvelous. Only people adept in their field come up with lines like that, heh heh.

When are we gonna see a Toxic Waste Myspace page huh?

I have considered ToxicSpace, mate. Or maybe it could be Toxic_Waste_of_Space? The current plan is to finish writing the remaining content on the site, then upgrade to pretty designy graphics, then infect MySpace and Vibr (a bit less daunting when I have the new theme locked in).
