Sigur rós ‘Heima’ trailer
Sean over at A-Reminder gave the heads up about this new documentary following Icelandic band Sigur rós on their 2006 summer tour of their own country. The trailer looks simply breathtaking and the doco is due for release in November in Iceland and Great Britain, with a DVD release to follow. Their next album tentatively titled ‘Hvarf-Heim’ should be released around the same time as the doco.
Gotye w/ Mini Orchestra
Friday night began with some Gotye (aka Wally DeBacker) and his mini-orchestra at one of the sold out shows here in Melbourne. Wally was in fine form, the crowds were both enchanted and excited despite waiting for a good hour before the show was supposed to begin. I’m not really a fan of sit down gigs but it worked in this case. Be sure to check out his remixed ‘Like Drawing Blood’ album ‘Mixed Blood’ - featuring a great version ‘The Only Way’ by Karnivool.

It was high time I hung up the trusty P4 2.4Ghz PC and went with Quad-core power! Custom built to exactly the way I wanted it, so far it’s running beautifully.
The new Quad’s have come down in price considerably and with RAM and HDD prices cheaper than ever, I figured it was time for a complete upgrade.
And man, the difference is huge! Photo and video editing just flies along and this puppy should last me another 3-5 years of solid work.

Wall-E
Ultimately charming and heart-warming Pixar effort is a sheer delight from start to finish. Homage's to 2001, E.T and all your favourite childhood Sci-Fi movies are plentiful and just to realise so much emotion from an animated robot that hardly talks throughout the entire movie is a feat in itself. The Blu-ray version will be stunning!
