Custom T-Shirts

Custom T - Battles
Custom T- Battles
After going to various stores throughout Melbourne trying to find decent t-shirts, I decided I couldn’t find many that I liked and if I did, it wouldn’t fit properly. There’s so many of these so called ‘arty’ t-shirts around that look like a 5th grader conducted a rather large, unattractive squiggle on them and frankly, they do nothing for me. Online stores isn’t a great option either because it’s difficult to know the exact sizes but at least you get some cooler designs. And I must point out the I Love Your T-Shirt blog. They put me onto one of these t’s.

So after constantly being disappointed what’s on offer in the stores, I got off my arse and designed my own. I found a reasonably cheap screenprinting place that does a good job and uses good quality cotton t’s. The t’s also wash well so I’m definitely going to get a few more personalised designs done in preparation for summer. The pic on the front of the above is one of my own. This is my second custom job so far and I’m pretty happy with the results. Okay so I might not be a great t-shirt designer but they work for me.

The first has my new Hooverdust logo printed on it and will be revealed when I launch the new blog design soon :)

Hey James, stumbled across your blog a few days ago to the HV20 post, found it interesting enough to put into my RSS reader.

Where’d you get your shirts printed? I’m currently in Melbourne looking to get some wicked designs printed.

Hey Jake. Thanks for visiting my site. I got my t printed through these guys. Price is decent, they deliver direct to your door, t’s are good quality cottton and they wash well.

Be keen to see what you come up with!

Man I’ve also had trouble finding cool t-shirts and have considered making my own. Last good one I found was in Sydney at Sanity…plain red shirt that says “HUSTLER - Hardcore since ‘74″. On sale for $15. Sweet.

Marieke Hardy has her own clothing label called Polichicks. Left-leaning of course. It’s a good example of how DIY because of simple lack of choice can turn into something more.
