Explosions In The Sky
Glorious, glorious music! That’s what I heard last night. And not a vocal to be heard! This was the band’s first visit to Australian shores and I was very surprised to see so many last.fm’ers adding themselves to this gig only because I didn’t think the band was overly popular here. Fuck was I wrong. A sold out show in no time and seeing them perform live, it all started to make sense. Amazing musicians creating beautiful and momentum-building epic music that surpasses the CD experience. I have spent many years listening to their lush sounds whilst designing and they got me through many late night hard slogs. Eluvium was the perfect support too. Amazing what one man can do with a laptop, pedals and a guitar. Let’s keep our fingers crossed both these acts return to our shores in the near future and inspire a whole new generation.

Totally inspirational and awe inspiring show. As good a show as I ever been to. Such intensity and feeling. And Munaf Rayani is quite an incredible guitarist.
