Thanks for the link! I had trouble downloading the 1080p version last night. But it seems the link is working now. I rewatched it many times, stopping me from sleeping early.

One thing I do remember about the movie is that it featured the Megadeth song "No more Mr niceguy" I vaguely remember the film clip for the song containing references to the movie also.

It must have unleashed my inner bogan/headbanger. Can't complain though; because the late 80,s early 90,s cock rock and heavy metal has been very influencial to my music tastes to this very day.... but alas I digress.

ahahah that's a great story Anthony. I think a lot of people back in the day first watched those kind of movies at sleepovers when you used to dare each other constantly.

Funnily enough, Shocker was another Wes Craven flick. I'm pretty sure he was responsible for scaring the crap out of loads of kids who were in their teens in the 80's and 90's. I didn't see the film until I was in my 20's but I can definitely see how it would scare a youngster. Apparently that was one of his films that nearly landed a remake too!

But going back to the Nightmare franchise for a second though, the first and third one's are the only decent films that I remember. The only other one worth watching is Wes Craven's New Nightmare. That's actually genuinely scary in places, especially if you're a fan of the original Nightmare. Unfortunately the ending is fucking absurd but for the most part, it's quite clever for a horror flick and I was surprised when it came out that other's didn't follow its 'formula'. It makes a good double screening with the original film.
