This Modern Love - Acoustic
Bloc Party, ‘This Modern Love’ - A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque.
New Bloc Party Damn Good!

Iām quite surprised with the negative feedback the new Bloc Party album that was leaked a few weeks ago has received. Actually, no I’m not ā it’s pretty easy to dismiss a new direction from a much-loved debut album, especially when it requires multiple listens. Granted some of the lyrics in the new album are slightly less political and more ‘heart on their sleeve’ and it’s certainly less angry than ‘Silent Alarm’ but it’s still a real grower. Fans expecting more of the same will be (and by the sounds of it, are) disappointed with it but personally I like their change in direction and progression (it feels natural and human) and I’m a huge fan of their debut. The stunning final track ‘SXRT’ sums up the entire albums feel and direction for the band ā one I’m pretty damn happy with. You can hear the new single ‘The Prayer’ over at their Myspace page. Bring on the CD in February 2007 with the full, final mix of the album.
In Foot I Trust
![[ Pure sex right there ]](http://hooverdust.com/wp-content/images//foot.jpg)
First up - I’ve fucked my ankle. I realise that’s not what you come here for but I’ll make any excuse to post my foot on the site. You can’t really tell from the photo but believe me it’s painful. I rolled it helping a mate move and it kills when I walk too far. Check out those toes though. Tell me they’re not sexy!
