Sigur Ròs @ Festival Hall

An amazing show overall. They pretty much played a little something from each of their albums and despite it being at Festering Hole (aka Festival Hall), the sound wasn’t terrible at all. The highlight for me was definitely seeing Gobbledigook performed live. With the crowd on their feet, clapping throughout the entire song, a brass band roamed the stage firing everyone up. To cap it all off, confetti and smoke shot out from the stage over the entire venue bringing together the uber happiness and joy EVERYONE in the venue was feeling.
By far the strangest thing at the show was security. They patted people down! At a Sigur Ròs show? VERY strange since Sigur Ròs fans aren’t the first choice to target for carrying a weapon.
Unfortunately I have no photos to show since I was there to enjoy and I also couldn’t find any on flickr yet but you can find some from the Sydney show (which had pretty much the same setlist and stage setup) over at Mulletgod’s flickr page.
