Well it was our turn to hear those Scottish lads last night and after a string of festival plays, they looked a little weathered. But that didn’t dampen their spirits with a great show at the Northcote. As per usual, I’m useless with setlists but they did play practically everything off Midnight Organ Fight and maybe two tracks off Sing the Greys (I think ‘The Greys’ was one). Scott Hutchison went solo with the track ‘Poke’ which he sung A cappella with the crowd joining it. It felt like we were in a drunken Scottish bar singing along. Great stuff. I was surprised with the turnout though because I thought they had a stronger following here but I don’t believe it sold out (well there were tickets at the door 10 minutes before they came on). But then again, that made the show that much more special :)
