Poker Night #1
I’m not really a gambling man. The reason is quite simple - it’s addictive. And generally anything that is addictive is not very good for you. But like anything addictive, if taken in moderation, can be a hellva lot of fun. The trick is not to become, well, addicted. Excellent. Glad I got that sorted! Last nights poker night was great fun though and being a relative newbie to Texas Hold em, I picked it up pretty quickly. The cigars rolled out, the booze was plentiful and the sharks began to circle. Luckily no-one lost any houses, cars or the very clothes off their back so you could say it was a successful evening. Ultimately charming and heart-warming Pixar effort is a sheer delight from start to finish. Homage's to 2001, E.T and all your favourite childhood Sci-Fi movies are plentiful and just to realise so much emotion from an animated robot that hardly talks throughout the entire movie is a feat in itself.
