In Rainbows

What can I say about this album that hasn’t been said already? Possibly sweet fa but I will give my two cents. I LOVE this album and is already my favourite Radiohead record since Kid A. It has elements of all of their previous work yet still feels progressive and personally feels a lot more accessible than Thom Yorke’s solo effort The Eraser.
Above is a wallpaper I downloaded from Kitsune Noir. Bobby has done some excellent wallpapers representing all of Radiohead’s albums in anticipation of In Rainbows. You can start with Pablo Honey and work your way through the others (The Bends wallpaper is my fav).
Finally a bunch of free MP3’s for you all to check out. I quite dig By The Fireside’s more subdued sounds:
Radiohead Concert

Oh hell yeah! It was everything I thought it would be and more. I’m still buzzing and it’s nearly 3am on a Monday! Thom nearly lost his voice near the end of the main set list and so they only played one encore, which was a little disappointing. Still 21 tracks is nothing to snigger at and the guys did an awesome job all around. I wished they played a little more of Kid A but I guess they played to the Australian audiences, bringing out some material from The Bends. It was great to hear Fake Plastic Trees and My Iron Lung live. Thom and the band seemed to really enjoy Melbourne’s reception because he broke into his trademark smile and dance routine a number of times :) The crowd were into it 110% and the atmosphere was just brilliant. I sensed everybody went away feeling like they’d just seen the greatest band on the planet perform at their best. I’m too tired to write a detailed entry so I’ll leave you with some photos and video clips I managed to take. Peace out.
Sopranos 5th Season

The best television show on the planet returns to Australian screens on Tuesday, May 4th. If Channel 9 fuck it up again, I will get together a protest outside their studios and vow to never watch their network again.
Going to the Radiohead concert tomorrow night. The amount of excitement is nearly unbearable.
Late update on the film Super Size Me. I believe it’s getting a June 3rd release here.
Chris writes a simple yet effective entry in his blog concerning Anzac Day. My sentiments exactly.
Donnie gets a director’s cut. Glad to hear he purposely left off some deleted scenes that never made it onto the DVD. Make’s the director’s cut more justifiable.
The TV series Millennium finally gets the DVD treatment. There was a morbid sadness to this show that The X-Files never seemed to capture.
Quentin talks The Vegas Brothers to Rollingstone.com here. But then sorta refutes it here.
