Picking a single favourite John Hughes movie is entirely too difficult so I figured this montage I found on Vimeo showcases his awesome line-up of movies (UPDATE: It’s back up!). He captured teenage angst like no other filmmaker had ever done before or has ever done since. His 80′s films were arguably when he hit his stride and will continue to speak to generations despite the 80′s hair styles, lingo and clothes.

Personal favourite films he was involved with include Some Kind of Wonderful and Weird Science. Of course I loved and still love the classics such as The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The Simple Minds song ‘Don’t You’ said it best with the line “Don’t You, Forget About Me”. We surely won’t! :)
