If you’re not a fan of the show or couldn’t keep up on TV, I really urge you to sit down and slowly get through the DVD or Blu-rays of each season because it all makes sense in the end. It’s not complicated to follow and there are themes and theories in the show that go as superficial or deep as you want them to be. But the writing is always fantastic, the characters great and the surprises plentiful.

What has me insanely excited for the final season is the creators were given creative freedom to end the show this season the way THEY wanted. Whereas some TV series can be taken off air half way through a season or forced to tie up loose ends quickly via the networks, the creators of Lost were given the opportunity to bring complete closure to the show.
