Graduation Day

It’s all officially over. University life is no more. Sure I finished my last exam in November of last year but after attending the graduation ceremony this morning, it’s a reminding realisation that it’s the end of 4 years hard work. Strange that the ceremony was so early in the day and also a shame because the post-ceremony drinks were restricted to water, tea and juice when what most of us really wanted was a beer or several. One thing I thought they should have done was give the Bachelor recipients (that’s us on the left) one colour band per degree. I, along with a few others there, had two degrees under our belts so shouldn’t we receive two bands? I know that sounds extremely wanky but on the flip side, we did essentially study for a separate degree so shouldn’t it show? If the phD students get orange robes, the least we could have got was an extra band.

Don’t hate me because I haven’t posted regularly, particularly over the past couple of months. Time, time, time. It’s such a precious commodity and I just haven’t had enough of it to sustain a high-quality blog of late. Feel free to browse Lyn Screens and Toxic Waste for some fucking good Australian movie-related blogging. These sites I visit on a daily basis, are two fellow Aussies who do the blog thing so much better than me, and update so much more often. They are geniuses and I thank them for steering the Australian film blog community in the right direction.
Credit please!

Woohoo! Found out today that the majority of my credit transfers got approved. This means I can concentrate on the subjects I LIKE rather than the ones you HAVE to do as core subjects. I think anyone who has studied any form of further education would agree that a lot of those first year subjects have nothing to do with your chosen career path. I also have to complete some work experience this year, so the credits will give me more time to find the appropriate company. I’d like to think that once I’ve done my experience that I will be offered a permanent position but I’m not holding my breath.
