When it comes to video converters, there’s a plethora of options out there and many of them don’t cut the mustard. It’s also incredibly difficult to find a decent listing of programs that actually do what you want. If you type a search for ‘video converters’ on Google, you are going find so many commercial products that typically don’t deliver when you need them to. More specifically, if you want to rip a DVD or segments of a DVD into various formats (.mov, .mp4, .wmv, .flv, .avi, etc…) you would be surprised how many video converters fail to do this properly. Either they crash, the interfaces look like they have been designed by primary school children or they don’t give you many options in terms of settings.
