Hoovervirb v2

Sometimes when I have 3 - 4 design jobs on the go and I get stuck with one, I move onto another because it refreshes my mind and gets me out of those design lulls. So I decided since I re-pimped my Myspace page, why not do the same with my Virb page. Sorry Facebook but seriously, you are boring as bat shit.

Oh and yes I have new designs for my blog and my portfolio. But they’re a lot more time consuming atm.

Virb

So a new social networking site has surfaced and already I’m liking it much more than Myspace (which isn’t hard). It’s designer friendly (the backend is all beautiful standards driven CSS), easy to customise, less annoying ads, and just feels more comfortable to browse through. It was developed by the team behind purevolume.com and I know those guys have an immense love for great code and user interfaces so that’s why it looks and functions so beautifully. Currently, there isn’t a great deal of content on there but it’s growing fast and I really hope it can take a large chunk out of the Myspace pie.   Ultimately charming and heart-warming Pixar effort is a sheer delight from start to finish. Homage's to 2001, E.T and all your favourite childhood Sci-Fi movies are plentiful and just to realise so much emotion from an animated robot that hardly talks throughout the entire movie is a feat in itself. The Blu-ray version will be stunning!
